ACMP Scientist Rudi GensBiography:

Rudi Gens, PhD, is a Remote Sensing Scientist with the Alaska Satellite Facility (ASF), where his research specializes in the processing and applications of Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar data. He is coordinator for the ASF seminar series and involved with ASF outreach activities, including SAR user support, teachers training and reaching out to K-16 audiences.

Gens is also a cooperating faculty at the Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF), where he teaches courses in the principles and applications of SAR and InSAR. Dr. Gens earned a master's degree in surveying and mapping and his doctoral degree from the University of Hannover, Germany. He served a post-doctoral fellowship in Delft before joining ASF in 2000.
